Stillwater, Okla. – Oklahoma State University is in the beginning of an unprecedented construction period on campus. With this growth comes the inevitable loss or disruption of staff and student parking lots. Effective July 16, 2007, parking lots 27, 27A, and 28 located at the southeast corner of Hall of Fame and Monroe will be closed for the construction of a new Classroom Building to be located on that site. These lots are primarily designated for Staff use with a small portion assigned to the Silver Student Commuter permit. For those staff disrupted by this change, staff parking is available south and east of the University Print Building and west of the Robert M. Kerr Food and Agricultural Products Center. New Silver Zone Commuter student parking is available in the Cowboy Mall Parking Lot. Additionally, any valid OSU parking permit is eligible to park in Overflow parking.
Besides these parking options, staff and students are always encouraged to take advantage of the OSU Options Program that promotes alternative transportation choices. Consider THE BUS Community Transit System which is free to employees and students or carpool with a friend using the new web-based carpool matching program. More information is available at the Department of Parking and Transit Services’ website located at www.parking.okstate.edu or by contacting the Department at 744-6525.
