Stillwater , Okla. – On Tuesday, March 1, The Bus presents its second celebrity rider participating in its newest campaign – You Never Know Who You'll Meet on The Bus. Commissioner Ruth Ann Kennedy will ride the Gray Route from 11:20 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. on March 1.

Commissioner Kennedy will be the first featured community leader to participate in The Bus' new campaign, which is intended to turn The Bus into a mobile town hall where people can meet and speak with local leaders.

“This forum provides the citizens of Stillwater and our passengers a wonderful opportunity to meet local leaders,” said Hugh E. Kierig, Department of Parking and Transit Services manager. “We would like our buses to be seen as not only a mode of transportation but also a touchstone for information between community officials and the community.”

The first celebrity rider featured is current SGA President Joe St. John, who will ride The Bus on February 25. The Bus will sponsor other University and community leaders as celebrity riders throughout the spring.
